  • 6 cups Mixed greens
  • 2 cups Strawberries
  • 1/4 cup Goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup Candied maple walnuts See step 1
  • Maple balsamic herb dressing
  • Cracked black pepper To taste

Directions

  • Prepare candied maple walnuts on the stovetop or using your preferred method, then spread on a sheet pan and cool completely (can be made a day ahead).
  • Blend the maple balsamic herb dressing until smooth, or whisk/shake all ingredients in a jar until emulsified.
  • Toss mixed greens, sliced strawberries, goat cheese, and candied walnuts in a large bowl; drizzle dressing to coat, season with cracked black pepper, and serve immediately.

Notes

Make the candied walnuts ahead to save time; dress the salad just before serving to keep greens crisp. Substitute pecans if preferred, and add thinly sliced red onion or avocado for extra flavor and texture.
