Instructions

General Instructions

  • Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries using paper towels.
  • Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or a heat-proof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Incorporate a small reserved portion of chocolate at the end for a smooth consistency.
  • Hold a strawberry by its leaves, dip into the melted chocolate, let excess drip off, and place on parchment paper. Decorate immediately as per specific instructions below, then allow chocolate to set completely.

Decorating Instructions

  • For Ghost Strawberries, allow some excess white chocolate to pool at the base to form the ghost's bottom. Add two candy eyeballs and an upside-down chocolate chip or callet for the mouth.
  • For Mummy Strawberries, dip in white chocolate, let set briefly, then drizzle more white chocolate in stripes to resemble bandages. Add two candy eyeballs.
  • For Halloween Sprinkle Strawberries, dip in chocolate and immediately apply Halloween sprinkles, catching excess for reuse.
  • For Zombie Strawberries, dip in white chocolate, then sprinkle with green sanding sugar and add two candy eyeballs.
  • For Halloween Pumpkin Strawberries, dip in white chocolate, then apply orange sanding or sparkling sugar. Optionally, add candy eyeballs and chocolate chips to create a Jack-o'-lantern face.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping for best results. When melting chocolate, avoid overheating to prevent seizing. Catching excess sprinkles over a bowl allows for reuse.
