  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let sit until foamy, about 5–10 minutes.
  • Add oil, salt, and optional seasonings. Gradually add flour and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and tacky.
  • Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 30–45 minutes.

Cooking Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  • Punch down dough, divide, and roll into thin rounds.
  • Brush with olive oil, add toppings, and bake until golden, 10–14 minutes.
  • Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

To ensure a perfect crust, monitor the water temperature and knead thoroughly. Roll the dough thin for extra crispiness.
