Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce or regular
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil or olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger minced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Reserve 2 tablespoons for basting.
  • Pat salmon dry and season with pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear salmon skin-side up for 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip, reduce heat, and add glaze. Cook 3-4 minutes, spoon glaze every minute.
  • Check for doneness. Salmon is done at 125–130°F for medium, 145°F for fully cooked.
  • Brush reserved glaze over fillets and garnish. Serve immediately.

Notes

Remove salmon from heat as soon as it flakes easily to avoid overcooking. Pat fillets dry before cooking to ensure a good sear.
