  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Lay the drained and rinsed chickpeas on a sheet pan, then pat them thoroughly dry with a kitchen towel.

  • Spread the coated chickpeas in an even layer on the baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until very crispy, ensuring to stir once about halfway through the cooking time.
  • Remove the sheet pan from the oven and allow the roasted chickpeas to cool completely.
  • Store the cooled roasted chickpeas in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
