  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded

  • Arrange the sliced peppers in the baking dish and place chicken breasts on top.
  • In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sprinkle the chicken with the spice mixture and minced garlic, ensuring both sides are covered and rubbed in for flavor.
  • Evenly distribute the cream cheese over the chicken breasts.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the entire baking dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through, then broil for 2 minutes to achieve a golden-brown cheese topping.
  • Before serving, garnish the chicken breasts with additional pepper slices.

Notes

For an extra kick, increase the amount of cayenne pepper. Ensure chicken is cooked through by checking internal temperature.
