3-Ingredient Garlic Butter

  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic finely minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Preparation

  • Soften the Butter – Let butter sit at room temperature until pliable but not melted.
  • Mince the Garlic – Use a press or very fine knife work for an even mix and maximum aroma.
  • Mix – In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, and either salt or parsley. Mash with a fork (or whip briefly with a hand mixer) until smooth.
  • Taste & Adjust – Add a pinch more garlic for bolder flavor, or swap in roasted garlic for a softer finish. Use immediately or store (see below).

Optional tools:

  • Garlic press (fast mincing), hand mixer (for bigger batches), silicone spatula (no waste), ice cube tray (portion and freeze).

Pro shortcut:

  • Roll the finished butter into a log in parchment, chill to firm, then slice coins as needed.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days or freeze in portions for longer storage. Can be used on garlic bread, pasta, steak, seafood, and vegetables.
